'Return of the Instro-Hipsters Vol. 2' presents 20 previously uncomped groovy instrumentals from the UK circa '65-'73. Hot on the heels of the On The Brink... compilation, the Psychic Circle label presents tunes designed to stimulate and relax in equal measure. This comp explores that brightly-hued subculture which brought together session men, orchestras, rock bands and jazzers in a mirrorball flash of melodic inspiration and rhythmic expression. Music that is as evocative as any color slide of Swinging London. If David Bailey could have photographed sound instead of images, he would have come up with something like this.
