Après la séparation des SURF CREATURES, Rapido Turismo Lusso prend 18 mois sabbatiques à San Francisco.
En juillet 2000, il forme un nouveau groupe de Surf Punk : AQUA VISTA. Avant de repartir en Angleterre, il recrute sa section rythmique. 3 américains composent le groupe.
