INFORMATIONS

    Dans les années 70, Jari MOBERG et ses copains entendent un titre agréable et étrange à la radio. Il s'appelait 'Walk Don't Run'64' et apprenaient bientôt que le groupe qui le jouait s'appelait The VENTURES. Ils commencent alors à chercher tout ce qu'ils pouvait trouver sur ce groupe. Ils commencent inévitablement à jouer eux-même des titres des VENTURES ou dans leur style. Ils créent The CHAMELEONS. Quelques années plus tard, Hannu Könönen rejoint la formation comme bassiste. Ils jouent quelques années et enregistrent chez Rautalanka Records avant de se séparer.

    Au milieu des années 80, Könönen qui joue maintenant de la guitare et Marko Rahikainen guitariste rythmique fondent The CREEPERS. Ils demandent plus tard à Moberg de les rejoindre pour tenir la batterie.
La formation était complètée par le bassiste Markku Tuominen des MUSTANGS et ainsi The CHARADES viennent de naître.

    The CHARADES jouent dans le plus pure style instrumental des VENTURES. Ils enregistrent un EP chez Rautalanka Records. Comme cet enregistrement provenait de répététions des CHARADES, ils ne voulaient pas le sortir sous leur nom. Le disque voit donc le jour sous le nom des CREEPERS. En 1989, les CHARADES prennent le chanteur finnois Rock Ola.

    Le premier concenrt avec Ola se tient en janvier 1990. Sur la même scène, ils jouent derrière le chanteur du groupe de rock'n'roll les Hurriganes: Cisse Häkkinen.

    The CHARADES sortent un maxi-EP chez Rautalanka Records. Récemment le bassiste Tuominen décide de quiter le groupe. Après quelques essais avec plusieurs bassistes, ils choisissent Leo Eerikäinen en 1992. Avec cette formation, ils sortent plusieurs simples et un album. Dans le courant de l'année 1994, il arrêtent leur collaboration avec Rock Ola. Ensuite, le groupe répètent et jouent ensemble, font quelques enregistrement pendant quelques années.

    En 1998, ils font quelques concerts avec Jussi Humaljoki au chant. Aujourd'hui le groupe à enregistré un nouveau disque instrumental et repart en concerts avec des nouveaux titres instrumentaux et des classiques des VENTURES ainsi que des titres des années 60. Leur chanteur est également leur bassiste : Leo Eerikäinen.
