A la fin des années 60 , DAVIE ALLAN & The ARROWS
se font connaitre en jouant des instrumentaux classiques et en jouant pour des musiques de films, le plus souvent des films de moto
('The Wild Angels', 'Wild In The Streets', 'Devil's Angels', 'The Glory Stompers' et 'Born Losers'). La plupart de leurs enregistrements sont produits par Mike CURB.
Ce dernier peut les faire enregistrer sous différents pseudonyme, comme :
- The BUDDIES.
- BACK-WASH RHYTHM BAND
- The SIDEWALK SOUNDS
- MAX FROST & The TROOPERS (créé pour le film "Wild in the Streets" (1968)).
Davie Allan travaille dans les années 90 dans des film de Jim Jarmush et Roger Corman ainsi que pour des films de télévision. Il participe aux films 'Skaderdater' puis 'Devil's Angels' de Roger Corman.
Les membres des ARROWS ont souvent changé.
Le batteur David WINOGROND rencontre Davie en 1988 pour jouer 'Missing Link'. Rien d'autre se fait jusqu'en 1994. Ils travaillent ensemble depuis lors. Il a également joué avec To DAMASCUS, The Germs, The Pat Smear Band et Skooshny.
Le bassiste Lee JOSEPH a joué lui, avec Johnny Sevin, The Fourgiven, The Unclaimed, Yard Trauma et Outsideinside. Il crée son label Dionysus Records en 1984.
