Un des groupes les plus importants de la "Northwest Coast". La formation "classique" des FRANTICS (1957 -1963) participent à des centaines de concerts dans la région entre 1957 et 1963, jouent derrière Bobby Darin sur 'Dream Lover' et sortent treize titres dont trois hits ('Werewolf', 'Fog Cutter' et 'Straight Flush') pour le label Dolton (le futur label des VENTURES).
Une partie des membres changent au cours des années et le groupe se déplace à San mateo (Californie). Plus tard, Jerry Miller et Don Stevenson rejoignent les FRANTICS. Ron Peterson jouent par la suite avec les Accents.
