   BIOGRAPHIE

    McLemore Avenue est une formation instrumentale dans la lignée de BOOKER T & THE MG'S, The METERS, Jimmy SMITH, Medeski, Martin and Wood ou Jackie MITTOO. Ils combinent les aspects de la musique soul, Rythm'n'blues, jazz.

    Leur nom vient du nom de la rue o était installé STAX, maison de BOOKER T & THE MG'S, Otis Redding, Isaac HAYES, The MAR-KEYS ou The BAR-KEYS.

    Ils débutent en 1997 et sont à l'époque l'ensemble musical de la 'Blue Comedy Night' du Continental Club. Les membres changent régulièrement , et parmi eux "Scrappy" Jud Newcomb, Larry Lange ou Michael Christian, des musiciens renommés d'Austin.

    Après quelques années, la composition du groupe se fixe avec Patrick Barker-Benfield, Landis Armstrong, Chris Johnson, Eric Hughes et Kevin Pearson.
