Ensemble depuis l'an 2000, ils ont fait l'ouverture de Gary HOEY, plusieurs fois pour Dick DALE, Peter Tork (des Monkees) parmis d'autres. Ils jouent un excellent surf traditionnel.
La formation débute au Lycée de Colfax. Fire Arm se compose alors de Paul (guitare) et Leigh (batterie) puis Bob Butler (guitare)
et Gabe Pramuk (basse). Leur musique va évoluer vers le surf instrumental. Avec l'arrivée d'un nouveau batteur, Chris Hine, le groupe
change de nom pour les Pyronauts.
Leigh revient jouer de la batterie un cours moment. Sean Brown reprenait la basse au départ de Gabe.
Au bout de six mois, c'est Tim Hunter qui poursuit l'oeuvre de Sean lorsqu'il part du collège. Le batteur Jeremy O'Dell replace ensuite
Leigh qui doit partir pour un autre collège à Humbolt State. Le membre suivant qui part du groupe est Tim, remplacé par Brett Cole.
En juin 2002, Jeremy s'en va et c'est Leigh reprend du service jusqu'à l'arrivée de Pan Smith. Il reste deux ans avec le groupe, dans ses
différentes tournées (San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco).
Actuellement, PanMan joue de temps en temps dans le groupe, deux autres batteurs assurants l'aternance (Jay Ladner et surtout Ty Smith professeur
de batterie).
