   My Space Music : " During early 2004, lead guitarist, Bill Pekara, and bassist, Matt Brashinger, founded the Reluctant Aquanauts and quickly developed a repertoire of lesser known surf covers, as well as their own compositions. After trying out different drummers, they settled in on long time friend Alex Hall. Armed with their vintage Fender equipment and cardigans, their "high-voltage" sound draws on their influences which include; Dick Dale, Eddie and the Showmen, the Fender IV, the Finks, and the Treblemakers. With each member in their early 20s, shows are packed full of excitement, and high energy similar to the surf bands of the early 1960s. With their debut album receiving strong reviews, the Aquanauts look forward to establishing themselves as one of the top traditional surf acts.
